Based on real events relating to the civil war in El Salvador. As central character stands a boy named Chava, aged 10 years, lives and studies , in the midst of war, their father abandons, so he lives with his mother, younger brother and sister.

The story takes place in a very poor village. Your home is a humble ranch, as it  no meets the minimum conditions necessary to constitute adequate housing.

When children turn eleven years old  , are recruited by the army to "defend the homeland".

focuses on the plight boys (and girls) in many parts of the world.

showing all what these children  must pass and to survive amidst a war that nobody understands and which are banished from their land and surrounded, death and tears.

  But it is hard because it is real, shows us the misery. Therefore it is very good movie  , because it teaches us undisguised reality, no witty jokes and fireworks.
